Merry Christmas and Hibernation
Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is enjoying the festive season with their family and friends. We put the the Christmas tree and decorations last week so it feels like Christmas now. Some people say Christmas starts in December, other say it’s when you see the Coca Cola advert on TV, for me it’s when the decorations are up.

Fan Theories
Fan theories are theories made by fans (hence the name) about novels, TV shows or films that explain certain elements, solve plot holes or are more enjoyable that the official explanation. None of these theories are true but they are considered to be Headcannon by many fans and they’re a lot of fun to think about.
Here are my top ten fan theories.

Canons
Let’s talk about Canons.

Ka-boom!

Adaptations
Adapting a book to a film can be a very difficult process. Not everything is going to reach the final script, you have to choose what to keep, what to ignore and where to add your own bits in. Sometimes it can be a masterpiece or it could become a disaster. Let’s talk about it…

Superfans
Fans. Not appliances to keep ourselves cool. I mean admirers, fanatics, devotees, enthusiasts, groupies. For many of us our fanbase (if you can call it that) consists of family members, friends and loved ones. People we know. Celebrities on the other hand have fans they have never met or even know exist. Some of these fans can become obsessive…

Review: Age of Ultron
You might have noticed that we’re in the middle of a Superhero craze. Marvel started the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) in which some of their biggest heroes such as Iron Man and Captain America are brought to life on the screen. DC created Man of Steel and are following that with Batman vs Superman before moving on to the rest of the Justice League. I’m a massive superhero fan and when the second Avenger’s film Age of Ultron was released I was among the first in line to buy my ticket. At the time I enjoyed the film, I had a few problems with it but nothing major. Earlier this month (October) it was released on DVD so I watched it again. Interestingly I didn’t enjoy it as much and it wasn’t because I knew the plot.
Warning this review contains major spoilers for Avengers: Age of Ultron. If you haven’t seen the film, watch it first before reading this review.

On Uni
You hear a lot of horror stories about University and some of those stories are true. I knew a friend of a friend who spent £1994 in Wetherspoons over the period of two nights. Needless to say he dropped out of Uni soon afterwards. The media portrays events like this all the time In films such as 21 and The Social Network, it appears more common than it actually is.
